The SR User meeting 2008 will take place on the 11th and 12th September 2008, at Daresbury Laboratory.
Photographs of the event are now available to view ».
The objectives of this meeting are to bring together the community of users of synchrotron radiation, to act as a showcase for the best SR and FEL studies being carried out by the UK community.
The main attractions of the meeting are discourses given by speakers of international renown on their current research. In addition there are opportunities for informal discussion throughout the meeting, in particular the New Light Source Project.
It is intended that the plenary lectures will form part of the meeting with up to seven satellite meetings, chosen so as to encompass the broad range of SR activities and future SR/FEL source opportunities. Furthermore, the meeting will be held at the site of the SRS, which is in its final year of operation.
