A one day meeting to celebrate 25 years of the SRS

Introduction

The Synchrotron Radiation Source (SRS) is 25 years old this year. To mark this occasion, we have organised a major scientific event (12 September 2005 in Manchester) combining it with the annual SR users meeting (13-14 September). The purpose of the occasion is not only to highlight the achievements of the past 25 years but to mark the "collaborative" spirit which SRS helped to engender in the scientific community.

The UK's SR users meeting will be held immediately following the SRS-25 event. This two day meeting (13-14 September 2005) is the formal responsibility of the SR User Forum and the Daresbury Laboratory in partnership with the Diamond Light Source, as usual is helping with the logistics.
